Writing software for Computer Vision typically differs from the usual frontend/backend development. In this talk we will show how to adapt a sort-of-generic software development life cycle to the idiosyncrasies of Computer Vision algorithms: design and prototyping candidate algorithms, assessment of the proposed implementations, management of the validation data, handling multiple versions of the prototypes, etc. We will show how to integrate these ideas into a DevOps methodology that can be used to build robust pipelines for either research code or production-ready applications.

Enrique Muñoz es Computer Vision Lead en Bookker Corporate. Lleva más de diez años desarrollando software de manera aplicada, implementando algoritmos de Visión Artificial en dispositivos Android/iOS, más concretamente cosas relacionadas con la Realidad Aumentada, tracking 3D en tiempo real y reconocimiento de caracteres (OCR). Es doctorado en Inteligencia Artificial por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
